Hi,
yes that seems to be true. As far as I can see from the hostgator cpanel 5.4 is used (I had not updated because another plugin would not work).
I will update and see what happens.

I think “Webcam Image Handler” will do the job, it imports from a remote server via ftp. But it costs USD 16.
