In this case, our documentation on how to setup the Google API key is actually up to date. The The small grid display you mentioned is likely a Lazy Loading compatibility issue with your site environment. Kindly check out our guide here on how to disable Lazy loading.

About the matter here, I do not seem to replicate the issue on my testing end anymore. Kindly try clearing your site cache and check the output once again. We will also be releasing a new update soon which you can use to check once released.

About the query here, I’m afraid the Shortcode by default only supports raw URL links. Embedded links are not supported in that Shortcode, and would also not be picked by the Google calendar renderer.
