Hi,
Thanks for the detailed report and for including the warning details, plugin list, and video.
We can see the warnings are coming from the DOM parsing step used by Email Encoder when filtering the final page output. In some cases, third-party plugin or theme markup can include HTML/SVG tags that PHP’s
DOMDocument::loadHTML()reports as warnings, even though the page may still render normally. Our lead developer, who is best placed to review this part of the plugin, is currently away and won’t be available for about a week. As this is a free plugin, support and development responses can sometimes take longer than we’d like, but we apologise for the delay.
We don’t want to suggest editing plugin files directly until the issue has been reviewed properly, as that could cause further issues or be overwritten by the next update. We’ve noted the file and method from your report:
email-encoder-bundle/src/Validate/Filters.phpfilter_soft_dom_attributes()Once our developer is back, we’ll review the warnings and get back to you with an update or patch if required.
Thanks for your patience.
Hi,
Thanks for reporting this and for the detailed explanation.
Unfortunately our lead developer, who is most familiar with this part of the plugin, is currently away and won’t be available for about a week. Because this is a free plugin, support responses can sometimes take a little longer than we’d like, and we apologise for the delay.
We’ve noted your report regarding the address link selection/copy behaviour and the exclusion settings not resolving the issue. Once our developer is back, we’ll investigate further and get back to you with an update.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime, and we’re glad you’ve been able to implement a temporary workaround.
Kind regards,
The Plugin Team
