In reply to: Can't get logo to show up in header?Awesome I got the image to populate, I will just have to remember to update all image links.
Any idea why my border radius isn’t working on the background image?
.site-header { background-image: url("http://johnnyscience.com/poweroflifewellness/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/cropped-banner.family.png"); background-repeat: no-repeat; border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; }Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Can't get logo to show up in header?Ok great I just created & activated the child theme, so I am good to go on that.
I’ll try to add the full URL. sucks you can’t do relative in WP.

In reply to: Can't get logo to show up in header?I think I added a couple of minor things to the style sheet. I’ll read that child link & set it up properly.
Any idea on the logo help?
I am currently using my website to host the website as I build it for him, so I’d prefer to keep the links as easy as possible so I don’t have to change them later when I migrate the site to his host. images/pictures.jpg etc.

In reply to: Can't get logo to show up in header?shoot, I forgot. I can rename the theme I’m working on to be the child theme so I don’t loose any info correct?
I haven’t really done any styling, just initial setup.
I know this is a WP forum, I was detailing my current situation.
I’m just worried about having to re-do a lot of styling on the website if i move it over from blogger to WP (I’m the most familiar with WP but have never done a port/move)
That links talks about “New Blogger” & “Old Blogger” and the old is not port-able.
Any idea how to tell if I have the new or old blogger so I can figure out the porting/move of it to WP?

In reply to: Where is my user email database located? But I’m no longer with the guys who transferred my DB & hostgator couldn’t help me find the DB for some reason.
So I’m kind of on my own other than the help from you.
Thanks.

In reply to: Where is my user email database located?I had help in the beginning when transferring everything over to WP, so I’m sure there was a DB created as I paid the guys about $600 to make the move & setup for me.
I’m going to try to give it a tackle later perhaps. I’ll try following your walk-through & hopefully I can get the list I’m looking for.

In reply to: Where is my user email database located?Hmm, I don’t have phpmyadmin so I’m not familiar with it. I’m sure I could download it & follow directions though, just a matter of taking enough time to set aside for the learning curve…
I may just have to put this on the back burner for now (I MIGHT tackle this tonight) & “hope” the entire user email list is somewhere in the pile of 15k files in the “backup” folder I downloaded…

In reply to: Which Forum – phpBB or Simple-press?Yeah it’s $360 to sign up with all of the add ons & then basically $240 a year.
I don’t mind the initial cost, but the $240 a year is a bit pricey and kinda sucks, but unless there is another alternative that can offer the look, feel & function-ability that the IPS Community Suite can, I think it’s my only option to get the website that I truly want. And the website should generate a substantial amount of money one way or another that the yearly $240 fee is no big deal.
The only other thing that I think could compare is XenoForo, but it is basically just a forum platform (with possibly a add-on shopping cart, but for sure no CMS – which is a big issue since I want a “General” website along with the store & forum.

In reply to: Which Forum – phpBB or Simple-press?I found IPS Community Suite – it has everything I was looking for, CMS, GREAT forums & store/shop with a seamless integration of all of them, including the look of web 2.0
Does anyone have any cons to this software suite? Seems perfect to me…

In reply to: Which Forum – phpBB or Simple-press?Yes but I am looking for feedback from the users of one/both of them to really see the pros & cons.
I think SimplePress is designed specifically for WP isn’t it? So you would think it would be more seamless. But phpBB is a really great Forums software, even better that it’s opensource.

In reply to: How to turn off the "Leave a Reply" on the bottom of new pages?Yeah ok, that was the info I needed in that thread.
WP was stupid to file all that away, it was much easier when all of the options showed up on the page itself instead of having to go through a couple of menus just to untick the boxes.
Thanks.
