In reply to: Displaying a table in an overlay or pop-up boxOne more bump, and then I’ll give up.
I just need a way to make a table pop-up out from my page so it’s not confined to the narrow width of page. I’m sure there most be loads of plug-ins that would allow this but I can’t find them

In reply to: Displaying a table in an overlay or pop-up boxAny suggestions?
Thanks for getting back to me Tobias. I’ll see if anyone has any suggestions for plugins I can use on the main wordpress forums.
Sorry Grayson, not sure how I missed your reply.
Like you, I’m becoming reconciled to the way Twenty-Fourteen handles images, and I hadn’t actually considered how well suited it is to smartphones. Side images still look odd on my monitor, and I can’t expand the narrow page width without them ending up all over the place, but I’m just going to leave it as it is.
I’ve ended up removing most of the images from older posts on the blog (thankfully it’s a relatively new blog so there were only about 30 posts to edit), because they were all over the place, and I simply couldn’t get them to display properly short of re-creating the entire posts from scratch.
Anyone?
I’ve done a fresh install of Twenty Fourteen, without any changes to the CSS (incl. the custom CSS, which I’ve left blank) and my images are still an absolute mess. I’ve been trying to tidy up old posts, but the images just won’t display properly. They won’t align the way tell them to (they simply won’t center align, for instance). I select full size and they display at about 10 x 10 pixels for no apparent reason – see here.
What am I doing wrong? This is a fresh install of an official wordpress theme with no changes made to it…
When making news posts I’m having similar issues.
Please help.
Can anyone advise?
I’m also now struggling to get images to centre align – in some posts they will, in some posts they simply won’t. I’m not sure what’s causing these image problems – whether it’s moving to the new theme or something else, but any advice would be appreciated.
Ok I’ve downloaded the custom css (Simple Custom CSS), and made the changes to the page width in that.
I’m afraid the second point is a bit beyond me (uploading via FTP etc). However I’ve removed the change I made to the CSS, so my Twenty Fourteen should be fresh… I hope?
