We need to start issuing badges on our site so we will just avoid renaming Achievement Types once they are set. Do you have any timeline as to when you expect this to be resolved? In reply to: [BadgeOS] How to retrieve badges after renaming ?Michael, Thank you for letting me know. Until the update, we can start setting up Achievement Types/badges and avoid remaining any achievement types. When an updated fix is released, we will be able to rename them if needed right?
Also, Is it safe to rename the badges themselves with the current plug in version?

thank you for your support. I really want BadgeOS to work on my site so your dedication is really great for us.I just noticed that the renamed Achievement Type “Test-renamed” is showing up as an achievement under a different Achievement type, which is strange…
I emailed you the credentials so that you can test it in our test account server and its ftp.

So here is what I did to test it again.
(1) Create a new user
(2) Achievement tab showed up in the profile
(3) Created New achievement type “test”
(4) Created a badge to be issued after logging in for one time.
(5) Logged into the site with the new acccout
(6) The badge is awarded and showed up in my profile and widget correctly
(7) I renamed the Achievement Type to “Test Renamed”
(8) Changed the post type from Post to Achievement based on your feedback
(9) Badge is no longer there, Does not show up in widget setting. Achievement tab in the user profile is gone
(10) I looked at the user information in the WP backend, and looks like badge data is still there, but the some information is lost..? http://prntscr.com/4mml09(11) Renamed Achievement Type “Test Renamed” no longer appears in Badge OS and the badge is lost
I am not good with database, so I have not looked in the wp-posts table.. I can ask my developers to look into it. Would this help? Please let me know. I can get you logged into our test site, if you would like.

I did a simple test.
(1)
I created an Achievement Type named “Test A”(2) After publishing it, I changed its name to ‘Test A1″
(3) I noticed that Post type was changed to “Post”
(4) Using the plugin, I changed the Post Type from Post to Achievement Type
(5) Test A1 disappears. It did not get back under BadgeOs menu. It is impossible to find it…
I think we are looking at the same issue, but what you described is not happening on my site. Any help will be appreciated!

This is what I did for testing:
(1) Create Achievement type and put it in the menu
(2) Issue a badge under this achievement type
(3) User earned this badge (everything works)(4) Rename the Achievement Type to something else
(5) Put the Post type back in as ‘Achievement” with the plugin(6) Renamed Achievement Type disappeared from the menu as well as badges that were in the achievement type.
Would you please help me with this? As long as I do not rename the achievement types, everything seem to work okay.. but we will need to rename the achievement types as our user population grows.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] How to retrieve badges after renaming ?I installed the plugin you recommend and test it by renaming the pre existing achievement type. After that I have put the achievement type as post type “Post” and “Achievement” by the plugin, but not luck.
Existing badge cannot be opened and achievement type has disappeared from the widget.
We really like to have Badge OS work with Credly and our WP press. Thank you!
