    Thanks for the reply @gludie … I am a real newbie and need all the help I can get.

    I found out that HostGator did NOT update MySQL to version 5.6 as they said they had. 🙁 I hope this does not do me too much harm since they are not going to update it for a while.

    I started at the bottom of your advice. I disabled ALL plugins except Wocommerce. Still did not work. Yes, this all seemed to start after the last update in early September.

    I am not expereinced with the wp-config file yet … do I have to FTP it to my desktop and then change it and upload it again or is there a way to do it in the interface?

    I really could use some help on this. I have updated the PHP and MySQL versions, but there are still those darn “spinning disks” on the checkout page.

    Anyone? Please?
