As you suggested, I did a “save for web” from Photoshop CC 2015, and it produces a gif file – is that what I should load into my website? At 1500 pixel width and using 72 dpi, the GIF file size is 968 kb (compared to 1.2 MB with the same file and size that I saved as a JPEG). Does this sound about right?
Also, why is 1423 pixel width recommended? Why not 1400, 1450 or 1500?
