The user told me she tried it in Firefox and Microsoft Edge, two different browsers, and got the same results.
The attempt was on 16th May. I had to go back through 46 pages of activity logs to get to that date and there were 48 entries for that date alone. (Is this an inordinate number of entries? My site is currently such a backwater according to my stats [which doesn’t surprise me] and yet I seem to be bombarded with these attempts.)
It seems to me that the user’s attempt to sign up was flagged as a Spam Form Submission Denied, Bot Detected. There are also two attempts made the day before to that same form (which I assume was the user’s attempts also since she told me she tried a couple of times) and those were also flagged the same way.
My apologies for taking so long to reply. I do appreciate your response. This e-mail got lost in my updates feed.
I haven’t had many other sign ups to my blog yet so I’m not sure if this is a reoccurring problem that other people haven’t been telling me about. The only information I have is that when I signed up with my own Gmail account (while not logged into Admin) it worked okay. Should I ask others to try out the form to find out if this is a wider ranging problem?
