I determined this was due to a conflict with the latest version of this plugin and Yoast SEO. Deleting and re added Yoast version 26.6 fixed this and I will just not update Yoast until this is fixed.
Deleting and re adding widget options did nothing. deleting yoast did nothing. Only when i re added and activated an older yoast did it fix.

I had the same problem as you. I couldn’t exclude pages using the plugins settings form. I solved the issue by installing the exlude pages plugin.

worked for me. Besides the exclude pages issue the Dropdown Menu Widget is great.
