  • Hi Ipstenu,

“… So you’re asking, for free, of volunteers, that we re-design your website.”

That’s what I did? WOW! And here I thought I was asking for help in the WordPress support forum. I understand about the advice here being free, and that fact is greatly appreciated. However my point is that most of the people asking for help here aren’t even moderately experienced, so the vague answers being given by the more experienced members won’t be of any use.

Newbies need it in layman’s terms, somewhat similar to that in the tail end of your explanation, but with more details still… I mean, when I first started a couple of months ago, it took me days to figure out what “CSS” even was. And now I’ve spent countless hours scouring the internet and help forums in search of people with similar site issues – and hopefully well explained solutions.

Sure WordPress can be less of a headache if you want a basic site with no add-ons or customizations, or decent mobile access. But who want’s that? I don’t, so I asked this “support forum” for help.

Based on the responses in this thread alone, I’m now under the assumption that unless newbies get incredibly lucky to be answered by someone who actually enjoys offering up what they know (free of charge), they’re either to get confusing technical terms for which they’ll have to do even more research, or attitude.

Thanks for the helpful advice Christine 🙂 You were precise and any newbie like myself would be able to use it. Unfortunately for me, I’ve got WP Touch installed, and my site still looks terrible on my iphone 🙁

And might I make a suggestion to people offering answers to our questions – I think it would be more beneficial to anyone (but particularly newbies), if we could get the actual CSS code and installation directions, rather than being told to simply “fix the CSS code”… That is of no help to me at all…

That being said, does anyone out there have the CSS code for the iPhone, and can you tell me where I would install it? I would greatly appreciate it 🙂

OMG! Thank you jrav001… That’s exactly what it was 🙂 I unchecked a couple of commands and presto – the outline was gone!

Thanks to you too Andrew 🙂 its awesome to know help is here when indeed it!
