I tried to follow the instructions to change the name of the ftp plugin folder to plugin.hold — as I can not access any control links.

This did not work. I had the same problem with my admin navigation menu, and in addition, when I tried to access the plugin page, I got a message saying that I didn’t have the authority to access it.

Quoting WordPress help: “The left-hand navigation menu provides links to all of the WordPress administration screens, with submenu items displayed on hover. You can minimize this menu to a narrow icon strip by clicking on the Collapse Menu arrow at the bottom.”

My left-hand navigation menu is blank except for a link to Dashboard and a link to Profile. There are no other items in the menu.

Is it possible to upload a screen shot? I can’t see how to do so.

When I am in the admin side of my site, in the Dashboard, there are only two items in the black bar on the left: “Dashboard” and “Profile” There is no menu for adding posts or pages, or any of the other editing capabilities that used to be in that black sidebar.

I’ve tried the clearing the cache, and made sure that Im running the most recent version of java.
