Sorry, I got distracted with some major projects and didn’t get back until now.
I am able to add one of the photos from the past into a new post and it will show. When I try to use one recently uploaded, it uploads with the “?” for the thumbnail, when I look to resize it, it shows fine, when I try to add it to a post I get the “?” and when I preview the post I get the “?”. I am using a small host called “wooden treasures”. Local friend of mine.

The images are exported from Aperture 3. They are jpg s in rgb, they range in size from 700kb to 1 mb. Their dimensions are 684X1027.
I am not sure how to find the original size image. In the upload new media window, there is a button for editing, when I click that the image is there.
In the file ULR, it has my web site and then “/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/IMG_3138_RM3202RKlaas.jpg”
