In reply to: [BruteProtect] Compatibilty issue with Google Apps Login for WordPressI have contacted the author of Google apps login and got more information about the error with a solution if Brute Protect team is interested in implementing to make their plugin friendlier with other login plugins.

Your version 2.0.9 introduced a conflict with some other login-based plugins (e.g. Google Apps Login) which used to work fine alongside previous versions of your plugin.We believe the conflict was due to your change from using the “wp_authenticate” hook to using “authenticate”. The newer hook should either return a WP_User or WP_Error object, but you return neither.
It seems reasonable to stop execution completely when the IP is blocked (and therefore stop the brute_check_preauth function without returning anything) – although you might want to consider returning a WP_Error object in that case. However, in ‘successful’ cases where the IP is not blocked, please could you return the $user object? This would play better with WordPress’ intentions for the authenticate hook, and hopefully resolve conflicts with other plugins.
i.e. add “return $user;” as a final line in the brute_check_preauth function of bruteprotect.php.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] I get this error where bruteprotect statsThis occurs within the widget and I lose some css on that page. But I can still navigate everywhere fine. I was just wondering if this is something I should be worried about as in more than just the stats being unavailable . I haven’t noticed any other problems myself linked to it but maybe there is something in the background just thought I would let you know incase there is something I need to do on my end.

Just incase someone knows something simple that I may have not checked or done that occurs with other payment gateway add-ons maybe not this one directly.

In reply to: [Black Studio TinyMCE Widget] Widget name changeI think this was an awesome update as makes it a lot easier teaching people how to use wordpress especially if they don’t plan to use it often. So I do hope you keep the words Visual Editor in the name maybe just rename to “Black Studio Visual Editor” to please the people who want it at the top and want the name back.

I will mark this as resolved for now as hopefully I get a reply from them on how to set it up like you said.

Hi I downloaded this a couple of days ago and was working fine but since this last update to this plugin. No other plugin or theme the featured image doesn’t display I have attachments turned off. I am using wordpress multi site 3.5.1.
