Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Need Help: Site Redirecting to Random SiteI have had the same problem on 3 domains that I own and the first two times my web hosting company pointed the finger at WP. It happened a third time last night, but this time it was on a domain that is not using WP.
Looks like it is the theme. Reverting to the default fixed the calendar issue. Have you had any luck identifying what (with the other’s themes)was causing the conflict? The theme that I am using is monochrome by wpcrunchy. I’ve spent a lot of hours this week getting the new theme up and running and I would hate to have to go through that all again so soon. Any suggestions would be graciously appreciated.
So I deactivated all three plugins, leaving only The Events Calendar active and no luck. So I deactiavted and then activated The Events Calendar and still no luck. I guess that would point to a conflict between the theme and the plugin?
Rob,
Yes. I only have three others active so I will try them all off and then one by one reactivate them and post what i find.My apologies, seems like this post was double posted.
Rob,
Thanks for the reply but this is the only time and only post I have ever made regarding this issue. I am not sure where “over there” might be, if you have a link to a thread that is discussing this I’d love to see it because I am still having this same issue.I’m having a similiar issue with, what appears to be random, signs and symbols appearing in emails.

In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White Backgroundesmi, great suggestion. In three letter let me say…OMG. I like the theme, but wow did the validator through up a lot of issues.
Same colors for color and background-color in two contexts
came up repeatedly. I’ll have to spend some time combing through this one. Thanks.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White BackgroundAlthough, oddly for me on my Win7 laptop Compatibility View doesn’t affect the font color and form box background. It works for me regardless.

In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White BackgroundI just went home for lunch and tried my wife’s computer and it seems to be related to IE’s “Compatibility View”. She had it enabled on her laptop, after switching it off the colors showed up as they are coded. The CSS you gave me worked fine, but something about the “Compatibility View” defaults either the background to white, the text to white (or in this case it seems both). I’ve ben trying different combinations trying to trigger one that still is readable with “Compatibility View” enabled (just in case). No luck so far, but at least I’ve narrowed down the issue a bit better.

In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White BackgroundOk, this is getting frustrating. esmi, great suggestion. Worked for me, and I have even tried changing the background color and text color 6 times, each time it worked as expected on my laptop, but others (who are using an older and a newer version of IE) are consistantly getting white on white and never seeing gray, black, red, or blue. What am I missing?

In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White BackgroundI added it, gave me a white box with gray text (on my pc), I’ll ask a few others to check and let me know how it looks.

In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White BackgroundWould that be in the theme styles.css or the styles.css for the Event Registration plugin? (thanks, by the way!)

In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White BackgroundFound it, but if i change it in the theme’s styles.css then the whole website will be messed up since the theme is built around a reverse black background with white text. The issue here is that the form boxes for Event Registration is using white boxes, which clashes with the white font. I need to control the background of the form boxes.

In reply to: [Event Registration] White Font on White BackgroundI’m sorry, i thought I had in the 1st post, my mistake. cedarvilleag.org/registration This is the specific page with the issue on several computers (but not all?). At home I have an old pc running IE6 and a netbook running IE9, both get the white on white. My Win 7 and Vista laptop at the office are both using IE8 (although different builds) and get the gray background inside the form boxes.
