You can start by posting the data from the Diagnostic Test.
Could not authenticate means your username and password are not accepted. If you are sure your password is correct, then Google has disabled your password auth and you may have to use OAuth 2.0 instead.

Maybe it is sending, but you’re just not receiving it. There’s a whole Internet between the two.

What she didn’t mention is she is hosted at GoDaddy, and since they block the port to office365, no plugin is going to help her.
She needs to enable the Remote Mail Exchanger in cPanel and use the localhost:25 SMTP server.
