In reply to: [Gutenberg] CSS selector for paragraph in column blockThanks for reply Alvaro
The paragraphs were originally copied and pasted from Word docs.
Staging environment at present so would rather not post links.
While not new to web design, I am fairly new to using Gutenberg.
In a non-Gutenberg site I would just use CSS so that all paragraphs would have a certain style in whatever part of the site they were on. For example:.entry-content p{
font-style:normal;
}So I was wondering what the selector would be for column blocks.
I can see that I can remove the italics on each block on each page manually but was hoping I could do it via CSS globally for the site. Or is that not possible in Gutenberg?Thanks
Further update: the previous ideas proved inconsistent so settled for three Lightbox settings: Override, Attachment Caption and None.
Update: I found the problem of duplicate captions disappeared when I changed the Lightbox Caption Source setting from: Smart (try to show both caption titles and descriptions if available) to
Same As ThumbnailThank you Riza – much appreciated!
Thanks Riza – no I was just using the ordinary Gutenberg table.
Using the Classic Editor then converting it to a block worked well.
I will definitely have a look at the Advanced Table you mentioned.
No problem. Just posted a review.
Thank you htmgarcia
I tried doing what you suggested but selecting a single cell resulted in the entire table changing background color.
What about adding the Classic Editor plugin to the site and using that just to create a table. I tried that and I can color the text wherever a special color is needed, which would do. It does not throw up an error like the other one does.
Then I can switch back to Gutenberg and convert the table to Blocks and the color seems to be retained.
Hi Elvis
Thank you for your reply. The site is still in development so do not want to publish pages as yet.
I am extracting the images from the client’s documents page by page and I did find that one of the images was uploaded from two different pages and were two different sizes and placed in two different Galleries. Both had the same caption twice. When I removed the smaller image and replaced it with the larger one, each image then had only one caption.
So it might just be a case of duplicate images which I will no doubt discover as I get on with the site.
If I find I still have this issue when I have completed the site I will certainly get back to you if I may.
Thank you again for your response Elvis.
