That must be it! I didn’t notice that “Show expert settings” link before. The box was deselected, so I have ticked it now and I expect the retention policy to work as expected on local storage.

Thanks so much for your help! I’ll inform you if this doesn’t work for some reason, but I imagine this should do the trick.

Resolved this. It was a permissions issue. I had to change the rights of the Editor role in order for the desired menu items to show up. Used the User Role Editor plugin to accomplish this!
