I had “Enable default title” checked but I also had all of my media fields populated and hadn’t realised the different ‘Title precedences’ and was getting confused because some were manual input and some were from the WordPress media library.

In reply to: Question about TanzakuGreat theme, very nice. I have a similar query. How can I set the maximum grid width to 800px and allow me to add a traditional sidebar on the right?
I started off by trying to add width:800px to #grid-wrapper and #container etc but these are ignored. Is there something else in the javascript that I need to set. Does JS override the CSS?

This is the same for every blog I entered. I don’t think the service has been working for a few weeks now.

In reply to: Split Categories For A Post Into 2 ListsThanks for that Michael. I had been through this page over the past couple of night but I can’t see how it will do what I want it to do. I have read through it all again today, it talks of excluding posts based on categories but that is not what I want and I don’t know how it could be adapted. I simply want to have all the categories displayed witn my post but in more than one location and each category displayed only once. Thanks anyway.

In reply to: Split Categories For A Post Into 2 ListsThe next thing that I will want to do obviously is try and exclude the categories that are contained in the top group from the bottom group. I cannot see a simple way to do this using the category tags as they stand at the moment. Is it possible using the existing tags or do you think I might have to hard code this?

In reply to: htaccess Redirect Not Working???Hi thanks for the reply. Well the permalink name is actually changed to what I want it to be internally. If you use the links on the site everything is OK. It is only when someone is using the old link from an external source. I can’t get the redirect to work. Everthing I have read indicates I am using the correct code in my htaccess (I am no expert mind you) but there is stuff getting added on to it. More reading to do…

In reply to: Hide category title in posts??Hi again. OK things have become confused. In my last post I used the terms from the Top Cat plug-in for my explanation. Each post I make will have multiple categories, each of which I would like to display with the post. Each post will also have at least one, maybe more, categories attached to it that I do not wish to have displayed with the post or in my category list in the sidebar.
I know I can exclude categories from the sidebar by using the exclude argument but I do not know how to exclude them from being displayed in the actual post. I hope that is clearer.
I am simply trying to group posts by certain categories for admin purposes.

In reply to: Hide category title in posts??Thanks for the reply moshu. I have downloaded and tried topcat but unfortunately it only goes part of the way for what I want. If I only have one ‘main’ category for a post then it is ideal but I will sometimes have 2 or 3 ‘main’ cats that I don’t want to display. If I can find a way to change the radio buttons to check boxes then that may do it.
Anyone else??
