my question was about UPgrading a plugin, not installing, installing is pretty simple as I know (because there doesn’t exist any data which could get lost when installing a plugin for the first time). Thanks anyway.
Doing backups (see WordPress Backups is never a BAD thing 😉
But I’d like to know if its nearly neccessary to backup or ‘not a bad thing’… as you can imagine, when using 20 plugins, every of them releasing a new upgrade every few weeks/months, it would eat up a lot of time if I had to make a full backup each time… (downloading all files via ftp took me almost half an hour some weeks ago…)
no up to now I did not get to the point, unfortunately it’s also for me the only solving to resize the images… I think its not because of the file size, because also small images (around 500KB) showed the phenomenon…
