I re-activated the WP RSS Aggregator and it’s now on the page http://atnnow.com/lnf/live-rss-feeds/
I also installed the WP Control plugin and went to the Cron Events page. I didn’t see the wprss_fetch_all_feeds_hook event. Big mystery. Now what?
The page is showing 2-day-old feeds as you can see. Any idea why that’s happening?
I have made dozens of changes to the site in the way of adding/activating/deactivating/updating some plugins and theme, and updating WordPress. I don’t see an issue with any of this, as the RSS Aggregator is doing its job properly.
I have also tried adding this to the wp-cofig.php file: define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, ‘true’);
And then creating a cron job with this command line: php -f /home/atnnowco/public_html/lnf/wp-cron.php > /home/atnnowco/public_html/lnf/wp-cron.log 2>&1 from the cPanel of my host.
This actually works in updating the RSS feeds, but the updated feeds only show up when I log in to my WordPress, and go back to the post add refresh the page. Once I log out, the page goes back to showing the 3-day-old feeds. Very strange.
I hope this helps.
What I was hoping for is a line of code that I can add to one of the files in the plugin to tell it to show the updated feeds without logging in.
For now, I have switched to using the Feedzy RSS Feeds plugin. That works fine, but they don’t have an option for changing the frequency of the feeds update.
Here again is the page in question: http://atnnow.com/lnf/live-rss-feeds/
This has just happened recently.
