Are you using other plugins that replace all occurrences of category or tag names on your blog? I’m asking because the post-index plugin does (at least in the current version) not create a link for the category name, neither to a tag nor to a category.

sorry for my late reply. I’ll contact the developers of WPML and ask them how to enable that in my plugin. If it is a non breaking change for users without WPML, I’ll think about integrating it into the plugin.

Unfortunately, I still can’t reproduce it. However, I changed the way of building the sorting letter. May I ask you to update to the latest development version and test the sorting on your system? (http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/post-index.zip)

Unfortunately, I’m not able to reproduce the issue on my testsystem. Is your website already online or could you show me some of the post titles used in the indexed category?

In reply to: [Post Index] [Plugin: Post Index] Custom post type supportThank you for your feedback. Custom post types are not supported yet, thats true. The plugin could simply be extended to support post types by adding an additional parameter to the query_posts-call.
We could think about allowing to specify some parts of the query_posts call that you can use all possible parameters of the query command. What do you think?

The next release I’m currently working on (0.7) will contain the possibility to freely define custom fields, tags or subcategories to be added to the entries.

Thank you for your feedback! Currently, I’m discussing this feature with another user. Would you prefer to see all categories and subcategories, that belongs to the post or only the subcategories of the posts regarding the selected category for the whole index?
The most recent changes to the code are the option to group the posts by the subcategory instead of the first letter of the title.
