If you just want to mod wordpress so that posts are ordered by most recent comment all you need to do is change the sql query– I believe. Lemme go check….OK I haven’t really delved much into the WordPress source code, but from what I can tell that’s all you should have to change. Someone else here who’s more familiar with the code would know if I am right.
