In reply to: Install OK, but only blank page showingIt tookme a long time to understand why, too. After a lot of searching I realised I needed to delete (again) the wordpress files from the database, then from my computer, redownload wordpress, reupload the wordpress folder content (but not the wordpress folder itself) to the database and then reinstall the wordpress. I had some trouble with reinstalling but got help from this topics last post:

I am very grateful for all your good advice. I only didn´t understand it very easily as Im totally new to this. Thanks!

So I deleted the folder off the web and now its just on my desktop. Maybe someone can tell me where exactly to upload the folder? I´m sorry but I really don´t get it. 🙂

Change the following and save the file. Change the line that says:
require(‘./wp-blog-header.php’);
to the following, using your directory name for the WordPress core files:
require(‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’);Should I write exactly what it says in this example or something else?

I believe the problem is that I can´t copy files but have to move them, as it says I should NOT do. Plus that I dont understand the structure of the FTP program (Filezilla) at all..

So Ive done everything except update my permalink structure (step no. 8). And apparently somethings wrong as the site is still blank.

Does anybody know what “using your directory name for the WordPress core files” means? What is my directory name- the domain?
