Yes, you are right. When a post status is changed, author has to resave it. When Author resave it, plugin get that date and shows the same in the Last Modified Column.

Please update this plugin to v1.0.6 and add the following code to the end of your theme’s functions.php file:

add_filter( 'spt_post_custom_redir_link', function() {
    return 'http://www.mysite.com/mypage'; // add your custom link
});
