Tried the emergency password reset option also. This one did send me a notice to my email saying the password was reset – but again it doesn’t work when I enter it in the login page.
tried the phpadmin method and it didn’t seem to work. When I changed the username is just generated a random number and not the value that I entered. Tried the random value as the password and that didn’t work either. I am wondering what files were deleted that might be crucial to the installation when the guy at GoDaddy had me uninstall. Seems like the files are all there but I have a feeling I am going to have to reinstall. Are there easy instructions for reinstalling and then pointing it back to the database that is already there versus using the brand new one that is created in a GoDaddy wordpress install? Any other ideas on how to fix this? The site looks and works correctly except I can’t login to make changes.
