Hi @maddielefebvre,
Apparently there are bunch of NGG resources that fail to load ( returning 404 errors ). I’d start by re-installing NextGen Gallery plugin to see if that’ll be of any help?
Hi @ianmcgarry,
The error looks to be pointing to a network error that’d usually mean a unstable internet connection or to it getting blocked by a hosting service or a plugin firewall.
Trying to use a different connection ( if available ) or checking the firewall’s logs might be helpful in the similar cases.
Thanks for your follow-up. Just a heads-up that we have already reported this one to the dev team and we look forward to see it fixed in one of the upcoming NGG updates.
Hi @bollisti12,
Could you please let us know if your hosting provider uses
ModSecurityand if this is the case, could you please ask them check ModSecurity’s logs for any NGG mentions?
In some of the cases ModSecurity gets triggered preventing to save changes whenever there are any images containing apostrophes for the title captions. As a temporary solution you can switch back to PHP 7.4 to see if that resolves the problem.
We have created an issue report for our dev team. Usually, this sort of issues are highly prioritized so you can expect it to get resolved in the upcoming NGG update.
Sorry for the inconveniences created,
Imagely TeamHi @annawkbauer,
Please update your site’s PHP version to at least PHP 7.3 then check again. NextGen Gallery doesn’t work with PHP 5.6 or lower than that versions.
Hope this helps
Hi @bollisti12,
Could you please let us know if these changes are being successfully saved and displayed within Manage Galleries?
If not, please let us know in case that you are getting any 404 redirects or any error notices while trying to save the captions change.

Hi @oleviolin,
Could you please check for a conflict with a different plugin or with the theme itself.
- Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery
- Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
- If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could conflict with your current theme.

Thank you very much. We were able to replicate the pagination problem. We have reported it for the dev team. I’m sure we’ll have it resolved into one of the upcoming updates.
In the meantime, you can downgrade to NGG 3.23 ( downloading it from here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/nextgen-gallery/advanced/ ) then re-installing the one from you site’s “
Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload Plugin -> Choose file"( with the files’ replacement when being asked )- This reply was modified 4 years, 4 months ago by Imagely.

Could you please let us know if that’s an issue you are getting within backend while trying to Manage albums or within frontend while trying to view/access the gallery pages.
By the way, we couldn’t see any NextGen’s albums on the page you’ve indicated.

We hope that you wouldn’t mind reaching our support team directly https://www.imagely.com/contact/ for any pre-sale related questions.
Thanks
I am afraid there are no a straight forward answers to that. You’d need to find a way to bulk or manually delete the entries if
option_namecontainsnggorphotocrati.By the way – NGG should also have created a lot of entries for each of the gallery within wp_posts that you may want to consider cleaning as well. We highly recommend creating a backup of your database before preceding. SQL querying skills would be required.
Hi @snapper65,
Unfortunately, we don’t have a tool that’d allow cleaning up everything that NGG has created but just as a thought – you can wipe manually the wp-content/gallery folder and also the tables containing ngg prefix.
