Checking your homepage’s source it seems that the theme also enqueues FA so you can try temporarily switching to a Twenty series theme to see if that’s because of the theme or not.
Hi @1fallenangel1,
You can prevent FA loading from “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Miscellaneous” by selecting “Yes” for “Do not enqueue FontAwesome” then saving the options.
Hi @davelip,
Let’s try adding the following constant to your wp-config.php
define('NGG_GALLERY_ROOT_TYPE', 'content');and set the gallery path to
/uploads/galleryfrom “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Image Options -> Where would you like galleries stored?”Please let us know of your results.
Yes, both of them are the same as functionality so I would assume it’s because of the amount of photos. Reducing the amount of images per gallery should help manage them easier.
Hi @nik87vr,
This doesn’t seem to be a known issue. First of all I would try re-installing NextGen Gallery to see if that’ll change anything and if it doesn’t – I’d proceed to check for a conflict on the site:
1) Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery and NextGEN Gallery Pro.
2) Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
3) If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could conflict with your current theme. Please let us know of your results.

If the majority of them have
"transient"keyword within the"option_name"it could be a server side problem with not being able to delete the expired transients. As a workaround you can install a plugin such as Delete Expired Transients and remove them periodically in 2 clicks.- This reply was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by Imagely.
Hi @passimal,
That’s our displayed gallery caching
There’s no real benefit to purging entries from wp_options except for transients (those can be purged with multiple plugins or through some basic SQL) — there are indexes stored in the database as to where each of those entries (by option id, option_name, or both..) is stored on disk which makes that table particularly fast as nobody is searching through the options table contents (which aren’t indexed).
mySQL’s MyISAM storage supports 4,294,967,296 rows in a table; there’s just nothing to gain by curating these things manually. Even if you are low on disk space: those are text stored as compressed binary data on disk; removing everything related to NextGEN would free up a miniscule amount of data.

Thanks. We’ll check with the devs.
Absolutely. There are 2 solutions that allow to custom sort your images:
1) From “Manage Galleries” by accessing a gallery then press “Sort Gallery”;
2) From the page where you’ve inserted a NextGen Gallery module ( so called Insert Gallery Window or IGW ) by editing it then accessing “Sort or Exclude Images” tab.P.S. Also for the customers, they indeed can reach to us at https://www.imagely.com/support/ for the direct support.

NextGen Gallery is able to save to any wp-content located subdirectory and wp-content/uploads/gallery should work just fine unless WPVIP doesn’t offer enough read/write permissions (755) for that folder.
You’ll need to check with their support this aspect.

Could you please let us know if the slow loading affects both the Insert Gallery Window modal and the one from Manage Galleries. IGW modal is known to be quite heavy on dynamic JS so not really sure that we have any other suggestions for you aside of waiting for it to completely load all of the images first before proceeding to use drag and drop sorting.
Opting for galleries with less images would be the only thing we can realistically suggest here.
We have no other reports of it globally happening on sites that use Wordfence so respectively, we are not aware of the reason why it got blocked in your case.
Please contact you hosting support to help you check the logs and whitelist the requests if needed.

Hi @theodelaruelle,
Could you please let us know if the sort also freezes with the smaller galleries? The drag&drop sort interface needs to load all of the previews and that surely implies lot of dynamic JS that can theoretically lead to loading problems.
As a workaround, you can try resorting the images manually from the shortcode mode by ordering the images’ IDs as in the example from below:
[ngg src="galleries" ids="2000000000" sortorder="2000000012,2000000020,2000000021" display="basic_thumbnail" thumbnail_crop="0"]Hi @davelip,
Honestly saying, we are not aware of that but as long as they allow customers install plugins it shouldn’t be a problem to use NextGen Gallery with their service if the plan complies with the following requirements: https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/
We suggest reaching their support for more details. Perhaps they already have customers who use NextGen Gallery on their platform.
