The theme does not handle the process of saving or removing featured images from posts and pages.
The theme only displays them if they are set.If you are having issues saving them, then the issue is somewhere else.

That’s not really theme-specific.
The theme is internationalized, but some strings come from WordPress core, just like the “Leave a reply” string. The theme does not contain such a string.Best regards,
