Regarding issue #2, I was able to resolve the guest download delivery on our end.

The default Purchase Confirmation – Guest email template was using the [#order_url#] tag, which directs buyers to the account dashboard and forces a login/registration prompt. Replacing it with the native [#guest_order_url#] (or {{guest_order_url}}) tag points buyers directly to the configured Guest Orders page with immediate access to their download. It would be great to update the default template in future releases so it uses the guest order tag out of the box.

Please let me know once you have an update on issue #1 (the checkout REST payload dropping the billing info).
