I am having the same problem with this plug-in. I have tried to set it up in fresh installs of 3.0 and 3.0.1. The strange thing I have found is that when I install WordPress from my control panel using simple scripts the plug-in works great. But when I install WordPress locally on wamp or on any server manually the widget does not populate the author drop-down. I would really like to hear any advice about getting this plug-in working correctly. Thanks.

I created a vanilla install on another server and the widget worked fine. I created a new vanilla on the main server and it does not populate. Any ideas why this plug-in widget would not work on that specific server.

When I try to add an author the drop-down box is empty even though I have three authors for the blog. If I could just get these boxes to populate then this would be perfect. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I had started to use this method but it does not seem to have the ability to show the author Bio and Profile Pic. Is there a way to add those using this method. I have installed a couple profile picture plugins and they are showing up in their bios. I just want to be able to show this information in the sidebar.
