In reply to: How to add a second column to the index in Mobipress themeI am still waiting my friend 🙂
btw, what I mean to say is this (in case it wasnt clear)
What I meant to say, is that my Mobipress has three columns : the posts index, sidebar1, sidebar2 .please see the blog here:
http://cinema.al-rasid.com/What I want, is to decrease the width of the column that shows the posts ( dont know what U call that column ), by 50%, and then have another, new column, in the same index, that would appear just near the original one, and cover the remaining 50% and show posts from another category or categories.
Namely, just like the way I have two sidebars next to each other, I would have two posts columns next to each other, which will end up being:
index1 (shows posts from categorys x,y,z), index2 (shows posts from categories a,b,c), sidebar1, sidebar2 .
I wish I made myself clear

In reply to: redirection problem and question after moving hostI lastly figured that if I place http://www.al-rasid.com/blog (without the slash at the end), the redirect 301 works perfectly. It transfers any link that contain blog to a new link that has cinema in it before al-rasid.com, and ommittes the “blog” from it. This gave me a 100% redirect of all old links in google, they now being transferred perfectly to the corresponding link in the new blog at the new host.

In reply to: auto insertion of “http\\” to linked photos after moving hostOh I figured it out. When I commanded Seach and replace to replace the strings, I shouldnt have inserted the http:// to the new string, as it seems WP automatically adds that to every link anyway, and so with the string I added, I got two of them (http://http://) before each image link.
Its now resolved.

In reply to: Home and siteurl do not change even after changing in phpmyadmin !Hello Again.
Some Scripting expert at Hostmonster (Dreamhost) has solved the issue for me. Still I dont know what I have to do to guarantee a flexible and proper redirection of search engines / searching people. I am trying to do the 301 redirect thing, but not knowing how.
Old blog was at http://www.al-rasid.com/blog (www.i3tesam.com/iceq/al-rasid/blog)
It is not at cinema.al-rasid.com (tollab.org/al-rasid/cinema)
I want to redirect it to the gate, namely http://www.al-rasid.com (tollab.org/al-rasid/).
Now if I visit http://www.al-rasid.com/blog I am redirected to the site on the new host.
If I however visit a link through Google, which is :
http://www.al-rasid.com/blog/about/what-is-my-blog-about/I get 404 as you can see.
So where should I place the 301 code, in the old host or the new one? and what should it contain ?
Thanx !

In reply to: Adding image to “read more” link under “limit post” pluginOh, not that, the real valid url I added to the template ends weith “sign_now.gif” which is the “more” in that other site.
After I made my last post here, I removed the more code and replaced it with the original one that donesnnt contain the image. When you asked me about the site, I re-added the image, but then I put the other mistaken code that I used with another website (on of the two that worked). Now, I fixed the code with the image that Do exist (http://www.3areda.com/wp-content/uploads/sign_now.gif) , and still it doesnt appear.
Thanx again

Hello and Thanx.
IT seems that wouldnt be an easy task, as there is a rectangular box above both widgets which has the width of them combined, an which I dont know where I can place alternatively. I dont want to get rid of it as it is very useful. Yet I dont have the skills to modify it the way I want..
Seems I would give up the whole idea 🙂
Thanx again

In reply to: Adding image to “read more” link under “limit post” pluginYes , certainly there is a real image in the url path.. it is not shown why. I went through the process again, uploaded the plugin and activated then edited, adding the code you provided, yet its still the same…
