I can assure you that I am using the HTML editor.
If some reason if the current theme is causing the problem than I dont know and wont know how to fix it.

My host requires me to change permission to 777. I am not very comfortable about this.

How did you get wp-forum working?
After activating the plugin annd configuring it, I created a page titled Forum and place the folloiwng code in the html editor but the page does not show in the header.
