    Found the answer -of course worpress made it simple and created the “custom menu” in the admin panel in the newest update. Once I understood how that worked it was as simple as turning on the light!

    Ok, well no porn, drugs or gambling here so! 😉 Thanks for letting me know!

    Any takers on helping me solve my problem?

    Forgot to say thanks! mrmist had the final saying, and it worked! Problem solved -and no more “admin” on my account, fantastic! 🙂

    Thanks for taking interest guys! 🙂

    I did what “ipstenu” said and used a temp email and created a new user. And even though that solved my original problem -I now can’t get rid of the orignial “admin” user. Both are set to be administrators -but the old one has no “delete”-option on it’s profile page.

    Sure, I can have both users there -I just don’t have a need for it.

    I will take a look at the plugin options, but if anyone knows how to change this in the core files of the database, I would be so happy to learn and listen. To many plugins and I go mad, it’s just to much “clutter” in the end to keep updating etc.

    Yeah, sorry -did try it on my adminpage just now, but I cannot use the same mail-adress twice. So -how do I change it within the db? Anyone who cares to give me a kind of step-by-step..? 🙂

    Seriously? Ok, cool!

    I did ask the same question to my hosts support (online and he knew wordpress more than anything he said) -and was told different.

    But if it works it’s great!
    Could any of you point me in the right direction though?
    Create a new user on wordpress.com?

    Thanks for the answers! (I’m still a learning, working hard, neewbie)

    Thanks doc4 -I rolled my eyes and thought “dah, yes of course” 😉 This is what happens when I try do to things at night when really should have been asleep five hours ago! 😉 Thanks again!

    To Shane G: in my code you can see the word thesis, which means that I’m using the thesis-theme and don’t have a header.php file. I forgot to mention that explicit, sorry! 🙂

    Hi there!

    Thanks for the help MichaelH, it worked like a charm! 🙂

    I ended up creating this code in my custom_functions.php:

    function move_nav() {
        remove_action('thesis_hook_before_header', 'thesis_nav_menu');
      if (!is_page('home'))
        add_action('thesis_hook_after_header', 'thesis_nav_menu');
    }

    add_action('thesis_hook_before_html','move_nav');

    Thanks again!

    It’s a paid theme at woothemes, the client that you already use! 😉

    Hey there bright1

    Lol, I feel like such a neewbie sometimes (exactly what I am too).
    Anyways,I found it (no idea how it got disabled though)!

    Go to “users” in your adminarea, then to “your profile” -you’ll find the “disable the visual editor when writing”-button on the top of the page. Unmark it and everything goes back to normal! 😉

    I have thought about paying for a theme -but found this site http://topwpthemes.com/ after some looking around.

    The only paid sites that I found worth using, is http://graphpaperpress.com/
    and
    http://www.woothemes.com/
    But are they worth it? I’m not sure I would try to find out!

    But still, I would like to hear from others!

    It’s not the point of this topic that I need help, I’m just curious of what people do in general! 😉

    What did you do?

    Hi there!

    Well,I started using this theme just now, and belive that you cannot download the plugin you talk about if your’e not a paying member!
    There are several things (and themes) that you have to be a paying member to download, but remember -you do not need to by the largest membership. 😉

    Sorry! 😉

    I’m trying out a lot of different themes to find something that works for me. When I started this post I had another one..

    The thing about the category “colorado” was that the new theme had dropdown menus, just had to check how it looked!

    I thought creating a site would be easy, but there are so many themes out there (!!) -and so many that have bugs in them. Also it’s hard to find something that says “personal” without beeing a straight page with a blog on it. I want somekind of magazine feel around my site.

    I unfortunaly don’t have the skills to make templates and themes on my own…

    Now I’ve found http://graphpaperpress.com/ wich seems to be my kind of style. Trying the themes out on a subdomain! 🙂

    By the way: I’m not going to continue posting on my website until I’m ready to go theme-wise.

    I’ll set this post to resolved now, and maybe I’ll start a new one when I’m ready! -don’t have that many friends interested in web-design and blogging, so this forum is really a great one to try to get some opinions! 🙂

    Thanks

    I’m really greatful for all of your help esmi! 🙂

    You set the sidebar to “dynamic_sidebar” -that’s the change in the .php right?

    helenspacegirl -yep, I know, that’s why I’m trying to change it a bit. Just a bit hard when you’re not used to play around with web-design! 😉

    I have to work on the background a bit -fortunally I’m much, much better in photoshop than web-building! 😉

    Thanks again esmi! 🙂

    Yours Karo
