Thanks, you were right. Found it: WC Vendors (
WCV_Vendor_Shop::product_seo_meta, hooked intowp_headat priority 10, after SEOPress’s own hook at priority 1) was printing a second meta description tag, built from raw unrendered post_content when the product’s own field was empty. That’s where the block comment was coming from — not from SEOPress.Removed that specific hook and the page now outputs a single correct meta description tag, the one SEOPress generates.
Not a SEOPress bug. Thanks for pointing me toward checking the multiple-tags angle, that’s what led to finding it.
