In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] Image not displaying since updateIs there a way to revert to the previous version (before the image uploader)? It suited my purposes and it will save me the hassle of having to fix this issue (which I don’t understand).

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] Image not displaying since updateI think I’ve figured out the source of the problem. It has something to do with this EOM extension plugin: http://www.beachedmiami.com/wp-content/plugins/eom-extend/
I was having some problems with EOM a while back (problems of my own creation), and a developer acquaintance created the extension to deal with them. Now it’s conflicting with the latest update, but if I deactivate the extension the style on my events page goes to hell.

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] Image not displaying since updateI’m not sure why that it is. They uploaded the photo during the EOM submission process. But the image would show up regardless of its directory, right?

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] Calendar not displayingI’m liable to do more harm than good if I take a stab at that. Hello square one!

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] Calendar not displayingAh. In theory, I know how to restyle the list format to make it look like I want (I just did so using Firebug). But in practice I don’t know how to make the changes. For example, how do I change a list item (li) to a div, and then add id/class to the div so that I can style it? Doesn’t that require altering the plugin code? Excuse my ignorance …

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] Calendar not displayingIn the meantime, I’m curious if I will lose my current event listings if I uninstall/reinstall.

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] Calendar not displayingI’m not sure everything that it did, some troubleshooting and at least one feature add-on to allow users to create a venue during the submission process (see http://www.beachedmiami.com/submit-events).
I’m confused as to how I can style the standard list format to look like I have it now. How to get the images to display, for example?
I thought the standard format on the overview page was a list with images (very similar to what I have now or what you see at http://sweatrecordsmiami.com/events, which also uses EOM).

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] Calendar not displayingSo I just realized that the short code I am using on that URL (beachedmiami.com/events) is [eom-extend-full-listings] and rendered by the EOM Extension plugin. I just put the EOM shortcode [eom-events] on a mock-up page at http://www.beachedmiami.com/eom-mock/. As you can see, the styling is a mess. Do you know why it is rendering as a list on that page with no images?

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] Calendar not displayingNo, cacheing isn’t the issue. This is a problem, I believe, of my own doing. When I first installed EOM a while ago, there were certain features that I didn’t want to use. I’m an amateur when it comes to this stuff, and I stupidly starting hacking away at the code to erase what I didn’t want (instead of handling it via CSS!). Well, that worked OK until I ran a subsequent EOM update, and the plugin just broke down (my fault). At that point, I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled, but the problems remained. So I asked a developer to take a look and he fixed the problem in part by creating a separate plugin that he called EOM Extend. I don’t know what it does, but it did the trick — until I ran the latest plugin and the map disappeared.
All that said, I really don’t want to take up more of your time, and I can live (unhappily) without the map. In any case, I really appreciate your help here.

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] Calendar not displayingThe update didn’t fix the issue, and there’s nothing in the stylesheet that would hide the map.
