The security problem is/was a cross site scripting vulnerability, specifically somebody could post some javascript into a form, and that script would then be run in an admin’s browser when an admin views the data in the back end.
Today is the day, though – once I’ve tested it, I’m going to have the patched version available on my website, and I assume shortly thereafter I will get it relisted as well.

For the text areas, if the user enters a line break, the line breaks are included in the exported data. Are you saying you want to remove line breaks?

* Create a new form
* go to ‘edit’ the form
* find ‘insert saved form’, at the right of the ‘add new element’ section, where the element types are listed
* Choose the form you want to duplicate

In reply to: [Form Manager] Passing values from the page into a private fieldThe only way would be to use javascript to hide some form fields, then populate them with whatever data you want. There isn’t a straightforward way to grab other data into private fields.
