    1. Hosting is NOT the problem: I managed to establish a connection between my server (Spaceship) and the Google API. However, the requests are returning a 404 Not Found error. This means the server is successfully reaching Google, but the API endpoint or the model configuration you provided is not being recognized.
    2. The Chatbot is failing: There is a serious issue with the bot’s logic. After asking more than 2 questions, the bot either errors out or stops responding. It seems like the session management or the request handling in your code is broken.
    3. Fix the Plugin: I couldn’t implement the manual script because the API route you suggested keeps failing. You need to update the plugin or fix the code on your end. The problem is with the chatbot’s performance, not my hosting or Spaceship settings.

Please update the bot or provide a working solution that doesn’t crash after two messages.”

    Hi Esteban,

I have some specific details regarding the timeout issue on hhjewelerry.com:

    1. Reproducing the error: The timeout (cURL error 28) happens almost instantly after sending 2 consecutive messages to the chatbot.
    2. Product Queries: The problem is most frequent when I ask specific questions about products (e.g., rings, necklaces). It seems that when the bot tries to fetch/process product data from WooCommerce, the connection reaches the 10-second limit and breaks.
    3. Temporary recovery: After the error occurs, the connection usually restores itself after a short period, but fails again under the same conditions.

Hosting Update: I have contacted Spaceship support. They claim they do not block outbound HTTPS by default but have asked for logs. However, given that it happens specifically during data-heavy requests (product queries), could you please check if your API is experiencing any “Request Rate Limiting” for my server’s IP, or if there is a specific optimization needed for the WooCommerce product sync?

Waiting for your guidance on how to adjust the timeout or optimize these queries.

    Best regards, Hidayetov

Subject: Outbound HTTPS Connectivity Issue (cURL Error 28)

    Message: Hi,

I am experiencing a “cURL error 28: Connection timed out” issue on my website (hhjewelerry.com). My AI plugin is failing to maintain a stable connection with Google Gemini API.

Could you please check if there are any outbound HTTPS connectivity restrictions, firewalls, or DNS/IPv6 routing issues from my server to: generativelanguage.googleapis.com:443

Specifically, please check if there is a 10-second connection timeout limit on outbound requests that might be dropping the connection.

    Thank you.

    Hi Team,

I have just sent the diagnostics ZIP file as requested.

I enabled the debug logs and reproduced the “Communication error: error” message while interacting with the AI on my website (hhjewelerry.com).

Please review the logs to identify if the issue is related to the Gemini API configuration, the model settings, or a server connection problem.

Looking forward to your feedback and a resolution.

Best regards, Hidayetov HH Jewelerry Team
