It would be very nice if we could have two page patterns when creating a page.
At the moment, we have the choice between one or two columns, but this applies to all pages.
I found a good article about twenty seventeen customization but I was not able to perform the task ( https://www.designbombs.com/master-twenty-seventeen-wordpress-theme/).
See “How To Create A Full Width Page Template”, almost at the end of the article.
If someone manages to do it, thanks to share some feedback.

I have the same issue. I need to add a single column page template but I don’t know how to do it.
I have read many posts, went throught the 10 pages of this support forum and couldn’t understand how to do it the proper way.
I would appreciate any help.
