In reply to: Searches: How to exclude tags or categories from search result?Emily, thanks!
I could do that too, but still i have no idea how to proceed after that and how to offer links that include some and *exclude* other tags or categories. I have no idea about coding.
Could you give me an example how to use the changes you suggest?
Thanks!

In reply to: Searches: How to exclude tags or categories from search result? Thanks again, but i think the Plug-in SearchEverything doesn’t help here.
I want to offer to my readers links that work like this:
Show all posts with Tag1 AND Tag2 , BUT NOT Tag3
I don’t see how to realize that with SearchEverything. Also i read descriptions of other Search plug-ins and didn’t see one that clearly offers the function i am looking for.
Anybody with an idea?
Thanks!

In reply to: Searches: How to exclude tags or categories from search result?_sss,
thanks, so far i didn’t use any plug-ins for search. I want to offer my readers precise links to search results such as:
All books about Mediterranean except Italy (not a gorgeous example), so something like:
http://myblog.de/tag/book+Mediterranean+NOT:Italy/
If a plug-in helps, i would be interested, if it’s not terribly complicated. Could you recommend one?
I was hoping that instead of AND (+) there would be another easy operator for BUT NOT.
Thanks!

In reply to: Help please: Can’t access “Edit Posts” and Plugins-listResolved:
I managed to reset the plug-ins folder via FTP. I still wonder if there is some kind of maintenance mode like in Windows (F8), a command like “use WP without any plug-ins” or “load plug-ins one-by-one”.
Anyway, i could access the dashboard, but then no areas like “Posts, Edit”. Esp i couldn’t deactivate existing plug-ins.
So first i FTP-downloaded my whole plug-in folder to hard disk. Then i deleted the plug-ins from the server one by one and tried everytime if things improve – and see, at #3 luckily i had the culprit, with Easy AdSense removed everything worked again. Unfortunately that was one of my best used plug-ins. Maybe it’s a conflict with something else.
Anyway, thanks for suggesting.
