figured it out – problem with my permalinks.

I’ve actually just tried the default theme and it’s doing exactly the same thing so it doesn’t seem like it’s the theme itself – any other ideas? Anyone?

I’m relatively comfortable getting myt hands dirty with coding – i’m no whiz but i’m not too bad with it. Everything else in the theme seems to be working fine so i might as well have a go. Is it likely just to be a syntax error in the index.php or something much larger?

the files are definitely there – but every time i try to run install.php in firefox i just get a blank white page, and in explorer I get a 500 internal server error.
any ideas??
