Thanks for the reply and well spotted.
I’ve had a dig through all my event posts and I’d had a couple of span classes around some links, but the closing tag on one of them was <s/pan> instead of </span> – Simple typo but that was causing all kinds of grief!

yes I did fix it in the end…
DO you have the divi theme installed by any chance? If so, its to do with the archive settings conflicting..
Head to Divi > Theme Options > General Settings > Number of Post displayed on Archive pages
Change that number to 10 or what you have as the number of events to show in our settings.
That should fix the issue.
