In reply to: Want date to appear once per group of posts per day.Alright, so I was finally able to get this to work. I really owe you a big thanks, FruitFly, as you were as persistant as a fruitfly in helping me through this. I had to do a bit more than you to accompplish this, however.
1. I cut “else” text from the Dunstan’s Time Since plugin line. Cut “else” as well as the text the follows including “the_time.”
2. Place the_date in it’s own div on the line below
<div id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>” class=”item entry”>Done deal.

In reply to: Want date to appear once per group of posts per day.Great logic… So it works with you WITHOUT removing any other code? Hmmm… it must be a plugin as it still doesn’t work woth the fresh copy.
The domain is LessPopular.com, but I’m using the registered only plugin at present.
I’ll look at the plugins…

In reply to: Want date to appear once per group of posts per day. Thanks for all your help.
So I’ve just tried this, and the result leads me to believe that something else is to blame, as I’ve gotten the same tired old result… Only my header loads.
Any idea why? This has apparently worked for you, but all that I get is a header adding the code anywhere…

In reply to: Want date to appear once per group of posts per day.I’m running K2. Does that make a difference? Every time I make a switch, all that remains is my header… I imagine I must delete something to balance the addition of the_date, but having a tough time finding what to get rid of…

In reply to: Registered Only Plugin : Restrict entire blog to rI’ve got this running on WP2.0 and am pleased with it’s efficiency, with one exception of course.
When unregistered users reach the login page, they’re given an option to register. I have that enabled in my admin options, yet following the register link only brings them back to the login page.
Any ideas?

In reply to: Posts / Entries Begin far down the page after huge gap in IE.That is the template I am using. Not everyone who uses these forums knows how to “validate” their site. That’s why I’ve brought this query here, as I’ve tried myself and cannot find a solution. What do you mean it has several html and body tags?
I know it is a less traditional template, but it’s the one I need. Can anyone else please offer suggestions?
Like I mentioned to one of your posts before, Moshu, practically every major blog has at least 50 errors, at the very least. Last time I asked a question, I had about 70. Looks like I’m headed in the right direction. Please support.

In reply to: Posts / Entries Begin far down the page after huge gap in IE.Just found the same 450 pixel dimension in an additional place and upped it to 450. Can someone running IE please tell me if the blog is still lopsided?
Thanks

In reply to: Posts / Entries Begin far down the page after huge gap in IE.I thought of that, but I don’t. I increased my content area and posted an image accordingly. In how many diff’t places must i change the size of the content area? The content area may be greater than the header, right?

In reply to: Font Sizes Doubled on Their Own??While it appears that WordPress has no errors, Gizmodo, Engadget, TUAW… they all have just as many errors if not hundreds more.
Can anyone else think of why/how this could be happening? I just restored the css with an older file and that didn’t do the trick. Any other ideas as to how my font and sizing could have gotten jacked up?
Thanks again for your assistance.

In reply to: Font Sizes Doubled on Their Own??damn. damn. do i need to go through and correct all of those? This is very strange, seeing that it just switched about an hour ago. How many errors does your blog have? Zero?
The odd thing is that my font has even been changed… I do not have an old version that has been synced…

In reply to: Font Sizes Doubled on Their Own??I just made that change, but it wasn’t the cause… The font looks just as strange now, only smaller.
It wasn’t the cause because the links are still the same size… Again, I didn’t change anything. Any idea why this happened??? My links and content have all been shaken up…
Thanks for the help, by the way.

In reply to: EVERYTHING is centered. I want it back to normal though. There was no sidebar. I need to figure that out too. Initially, the content was justified to the left, leavaing a “sidebar” on the leeft as well of course… Right now, it is centered so that if I only post “WordPress”, it’ll post deadcenter of the page rather at the beginning of the page.
