I have also faced the same issue. Updated my wordpress to 4.7 and now my dashboad is half empty. There are no options for “Pages, Plugins, Settings, Appearance and many more”

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I noticed that too, however, I decided to change the theme to ‘seasonal’ as it goes better with my blog.
This theme is quite friendly, however, there is a default word ‘our specialities’ that appears on every page, I’ve tried to locate its source on the browser page, however, that code doesn’t appear anywhere in the editor of wordpress.
