Hi David,
we have some news: for the second time our logs showed some strange behavior: the code entered in the ‘else’ part of the function ‘hreflang_save_meta_data’ and deleted all the hreflang URLs even if no one opened or edited the article.
This second time I saved a log, so this is the link to the article, and this is the log that the code has printed:
[27-Sep-2018 10:26:33 UTC] [HREFLANG Tag Lite] variables are NOT sent in post with ID: 5417 Array()
The empty array is the content of the $_POST variable, which in this case is empty.
Looking at the article, we see that it was published on the 14th of September, and the last edit was on the 12th of September.
It may be something not strictly related to the plugin, but still we need to investigate how this is possible, and find a way not to delete our data in these edge cases.
