Same problem here. I get email notifications of posted comments, however, there are no comments visible on dashboard, comments section or on the page itself. There was a Akismet update recently, as well as a WordPress update…It’s not good at all if you are not able to respond to questions or comments left by your users….

It seems that the issue resolved itself after a couple of days…It’s all working now.
