  • James… I sincerely apologize about my “jerk” statement. I’ve been having quite a few issues since updating to the latest WP and woocommerce. Right after these updates were installed, I am having ‘almost’ the same exact issue with updating products and web pages where I get a blank description field and am unable to type. I have had to resort to restoring backups and tons of research. When I came across this post, I was actually (sad to say) excited that someone else was having a similar issue. I was just wanting to try to piggyback off of this thread in hopes that the 2 different situations may lead us all in a different direction.

And to martypartridge… I’m sorry, didn’t mean to butt in to your thread.

I have a 25 year background in IT and understand troubleshooting as well as most… let me make this clear, I am NOT a web developer and will never claim to be an expert. I have retired from IT and now own a small business with my wife. I have so many things that I’ve fallen behind on (for the actual business) due to these silly issues that keep popping up with my website. I am in the process of trying to find a wordpress consultant locally that I can hire to look into these issues, but in the mean time I have to try to resolve them myself.

I loved being in the IT field where several members of the team could all work together in the resolution of higher level issues. My whole intent was to see if we could both resolve our similar issues from a different perspective.

I will open a new thread and will continue to watch this one in the mean time. Again I’m sorry for snapping at you and have a GREAT day!

There’s no need to be a jerk about it! I was simply stating that I was having the same outcome and was hoping to shed some light from a different angle. Hopefully your day is going better today 🙂

btw… the theme I’m running is KLEO. The site functions fine… I simply cannot edit web pages and Product pages per the example that martypartridge gives. Thank you again!

I am having the exact issue when it comes to editing my product or pages but I do not have Gravity forms. The one thing I have been able to narrow it down to, is a conflict with Wordfence. Once I deactivate the plugin, the editor comes up. I have had Wordfence loaded for some time when something in the last update of WP, Woocommerce or the theme I’m running, as they all had updates about the same time.

I have already sent Wordfence support a ticket and they are looking at it from their end. This has been going on since the release of the product updates mentioned above. Thank you for any assistance in this matter!
