Right, now it’s fine, but I had to install 1.4.3
With 1.4.4 the problem stated above appears again. Nevermind, I’m sure 1.4.3 is just fine π
Unfortunately not, but it’s not a big problem π
The fact is that the elements should be placed like this, from the upper to the lower:
GALLERY
ADVERTISEMENT
STARSBut on my http://www.retrogamesplanet.it website they are placed this way:
GALLERY
STARS
ADVERTISEMENTAnd I really don’t know why, as all my other websites display the correct order, Gallery on top, advert in the middle and stars under the advert. I did not update the theme or anything so it’s kinda weird…
Hi Dario,
thank you for your quick reply and sorry if I’m taking your time.
What I mean is that the stars used to go UNDER the advetisemnt that is placed under the gallery, as you can see here in another site of mine:
http://www.kung-food.it/news-cucina/4-errori-da-evitare-nel-preparare-la-torta-di-mele/28433/
Here http://www.retrogamesplanet.it/news-curiosita/i-10-migliori-giochi-per-ps2/3790/ instead, even with the same settings, the stars are placed immediately under the gallery, making the advertiment go lower.
Until the 1.4.4 release they used to look the same, with the stars appearing under the advertiment in both sites.
Regards,
GuidoJust an update: I downgraded the plugin to version 1.4.3 and the stars keep coming out before the advert, between the gallery and the advert. Last night with 1.4.3 it used to work fine and place the stars underneath the advert. No it does the same thing, no matter which version of the plugin I use, so I’ll update again to 1.4.4.
Kind Regards,
GuidoIn the meantime I downgraded the plugin to version 1.43, which works just fine for me π
Don’t worry, it’s absolutely fine!
Thank you so much @dudo, grazie! π
At least I’m not the only one… joking, I’m sorry you have the same problem.
I hope I posted in the right place and the plugin author will solve it soon. π
definitely, I did open this thread because I didn’t really know what to do and if it was the same thing as a bug report. I’ll close it then and post it as resolved π
Thanks!

In reply to: galleries with symbols won't open@jan thank you! I was actually not aware of how it works, first post ever for me. Thank you so much, I’ll post it there and delete this one then.
Thanks π
@photocrati – -I managed to realize what it is, and I will immediately start my own topic: it’s not the name of the galleries it’s actually the name of the single photos that aer included in the gallery: if there’s a photo with a strange symbol, it won’t open.
Thanks!

Hi @josparky
Thank you for your reply, yep I got that update and installed it: now new galleries work fine but the problem still persists with the old ones having images with such letters. π
Same error here, but I noticed the error might be caused by the images name having &-ΓΉ-Γ²-Γ¨-Γ¬.
Let’s hope the update will be released soon and thanks to the authors for being so helpful. Thumbs up.
just an example: http://www.kung-food.it/news-cucina/i-10-formaggi-piu-buoni-del-mondo/13603/
the gallery does not have special letters or symbols but the images included in the gallery do. They all have a – ΓΉ – symbol.
Hope this helps and I hope an update can get all the already existing galleries to work again.

Hello everyone and Hi @photocrati
I tried creating a new gallery with v2.1.43 and now everything seems to work fine, but how can we manage to get all the “old” galleries with accents working?
The plugin update unfortunately is not effective with previus galleries that have accents or & or other symbols. I am also thinking that it’s not even just the gallery’s name but also the single images name: if the photos have these kind of symbols or letter they do not work, even if the gallery is named correctly.
Thank you for your help,
-Guido
