In reply to: lost post and category links after upgrade 2.8.3Okay — turns out it was the plugin and the code for categories seems to work if there are conditions in the brackets.

In reply to: lost post and category links after upgrade 2.8.3Another test: add a new top level category and mark a post with it.
No result.
The post will display, but the menu is still knackered.

In reply to: lost post and category links after upgrade 2.8.3A weird additional detail: mouse-over the barely legible “category” statment in the category menu bar (the black thing with the RSS at the end) and I get a bunch of categories in a single drop-down.
Weirder and weirder

In reply to: lost post and category links after upgrade 2.8.3Hi,
I have pretty much the same issue, though with categories.
Since the 2.8.3 upgrade, my category menu has totally disappeared — says there are no categories.
I’m using the My Category Order plugin, and the following code for the menu:
<?php wp_list_categories(‘orderby=order&title_li=’); ?>
Which was supplied in the readme for the My Category Order plugin.
But putting it back to the default doesn’t help.
Simply put, the upgrade has completely removed categories from the UI – regardless of whether they exist in the back-end.
Any ideas on this? It’s super-weird
Thanks!
L.
