For clarity, my testing has been solely through WooCommerce with both the sandbox paypal account and the live paypal account.
No paypal generated buttons were harmed during testing. Other than from other sites so I could see what actually displays from the paypal side when they want to identify the payment mechanism.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] woocommerce paypal standard allows credit card payments?I swear, I was getting the same result last night and this morning off of a “live” PayPal account. Now, I am getting the credit card dropdown on the PayPal landing page when using my “live” account.
Good thing I have a lot of hair, because I was pulling it out in wads.
Thank you for your time. I think I’m good now… it appears that only paypal accounts can be tested through the sandbox rather than the test charge cards. And my main focus was traveling the whole circuit rather than how payment was made. It just threw me that I wasn’t seeing the same landing page that I expected.
